- Burn test: PA burns with a blue flame and smells like burnt hair; PE burns with a yellow flame and drips like candle wax. PET burns with yellow-orange flame and black smoke. A quick flame test confirms the base polymer.
- Thickness measurement: Use a digital micrometer (resolution 0.001mm) at 5 points across the bag. Variation >10% indicates poor extrusion control.
- Water fill test: Fill bag with water, seal, and hang for 24 hours. Any leakage = failed seal integrity.
